International Marketing Manager
Role overview:
To create, develop and deliver the overall sales and marketing strategy for international sales, including the design and production of all required marketing material, to strengthen Hill’s brand presence in the global market.
Key Results Areas:
1. Delivery
- Work alongside Head of International Sales/International Sales Manager as well as the relevant Marketing Manager to manage the set-up of a new development for international sales activity; from sales and marketing strategy and budgets through to the sales launch in the UK and globally.
- Manage the production of marketing materials for international activity such as websites, supplementary brochures, local/education guides, factsheets, adverts, offline leaflets and invitations, digital marketing, and social media campaigns.
- Ensure Hill are promoted in the best possible light with marketing materials to maintain the Hill brand image both locally and internationally.
- Create and deliver a pre-launch marketing campaign to drive visitors to the launch/exhibition.
- Create and execute an international communications plan, creating PR opportunities and brand awareness in the global market. Maintenance of the world-wide PR strategy ensuring the delivery of frequent, timely and positive news stories and coverage.
- Continue marketing activities through well-planned campaigns designed to ensure new visitor levels match the required sales rate.
- Ensure all marketing activities are delivered within set budgets and control those budgets throughout the life of the developments.
- Responsible for generating social media stories for WeChat, Red Book, LinkedIn and any other appropriate social platforms.
- Promote site specific public relations stories and those promoting the Hill brand.
- Liaise with any estate agents, UK Sales teams and Marketing Team to optimise opportunities.
- Produce quarterly Gantt chart to show changes to strategy.
- Commission and direction of all development lifestyle photography and model selection and casting for international market, if required.
- Reporting on marketing activity for the monthly Management Project Review (where necessary)
- Working closely with the relevant Marketing Manager to support the interior design of Sales Suites, Show Apartments/Homes and CGI’s for the development marketing collateral with an International focus
- Develop a strategy of innovative events, and coordinate the execution of the events programme
- Managing the international media schedule, in conjunction with the relevant Marketing Manager – thinking of innovative ways to market the development via international press, social media and digital media (International festival, university opening period, sponsorships etc.).
- Liaising regularly with the Marketing, Sales Commercial, Technical, Build Teams to ensure effective flow of information.
- Organisation of all site photography and ensuring this is uploaded to the SharePoint as a marketing tool for Sales team.
- Coordination of marketing invoices and purchase orders and ensuring the overall budget is adhered too
- To manage (or preferably be able to create) high-quality video materials. Photographing, video shooting and editing to enable us to effectively communicate with international audiences online as well as creating regular fresh content to support the agents with their advertising marketing of all developments
2. Quality and Compliance
- Comply with health and safety and when on site.
- Liaise with Health and Safety Manager regarding sales areas and show homes plus complete Health and Safety Manual with Sales Manager prior to launch of developments or any events
- Ensure Hill are promoted in the best possible light with marketing materials and on-site presentation to maintain the Hill brand image.
3. Communications
- Support and execute a prelaunch marketing campaign to drive visitors to the launch and/or events.
- Support and lead on the production of marketing materials such as websites, brochures, adverts, hoardings and site signage, off-line leaflets and invitations, digital marketing, and social media campaigns.
4. Financial
- Set up the sales and marketing budget for each development.
- Ensure marketing materials, website and show houses are delivered within budget.
- Ensure sales operation is opened in line with the companies forecasted date.
5. People
- Directly work alongside and support the Head of International Sales, International Sales Manager and International Sales Team, as well as the domestic Marketing Team.
- Liaise with and influence architectural team, external suppliers (such as graphic designers, web designers, interior designers), site delivery teams and management team.
- Liaise with agencies selling agents and internal sales team on development of branding, sales set up, launch events and marketing collaterals.
Success Measures:
- Effective management and delivery of the overall sales and marketing vision and strategy for each new development, after acquisition through to sales launch.
- Drives to achieve required lead generation and sales rates.
- Manages the set-up of new developments from land acquisition, including preparation, sales, and marketing strategies.
- Manages the sales launch of the sales office and show homes, including interior design and installation, landscaping, signage, and presentation.
- Holds responsibility for the maintenance of developments.
- Attends and plays a key role in development specific meetings with project team from conception of each development through to sales launch.
- Ensures liaison with design, technology, and production teams for the new development.
- Holds responsibility for the management of external suppliers.
- Delivers on time and on budget.
- Promotes a positive Health and Safety culture amongst the workforce and for potential customers.
- Ensure compliance with the process and procedures of Hill’s Health and Safety policy when setting up sales areas.
- Ensure Hill are promoted in the best possible light with marketing materials and on-site presentation to maintain the Hill brand image.

- Proactively generates social media stories, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Promotes site specific public relations stories and those increasing the Hill brand.
- Manages the production of marketing materials such as websites, brochures, adverts, hoardings and site signage, off-line leaflets and invitations, digital marketing, and social media campaigns.
- Holds responsibility for updating the Hill website, including site specific websites and portals.
- Ensures all marketing activities are delivered within set budgets.
- Controls the set budgets throughout the life of the development.
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
- Marketing Degree or CIM qualification.
- Minimum three years’ experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Experienced with working across different levels of stakeholders
- Must be Fluent in writing and speaking in Mandarin or Cantonese and English
