Project Manager
Role Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of health and safety, quality, and within budget. With a focus on leadership, collaboration, and team management, you will ensure seamless project delivery while maintaining a strong reputation for quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health & Safety: Champion site safety, ensuring compliance with H&S regulations and maintaining a safe working environment. Prepare safety plans, method statements, and ensure all relevant H&S files are handed over at project completion.
- Quality Control: Monitor quality standards, address non-conformance, and ensure the project meets client specifications. Oversee snagging and defect management and ensure all materials are suitable and procured on time.
- Project Delivery: Manage site production through Site Managers and subcontractors, overseeing design, buildability, and adherence to timelines. Prepare and update accurate project reports, ensuring the project stays on track and meets targets.
- Financial Management: Manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints. Seek opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- People Management: Lead and motivate the project team, ensuring effective communication and high performance. Provide guidance and mentorship to Site Managers and trainees.
- External Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, statutory authorities, and residents to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Need:
- Degree or NVQ Level 7 in Construction or related field
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional body
- Proven experience managing projects valued at £50m+
- Strong knowledge of H&S law, CDM regulations, and quality control processes
- Experience in managing concrete frame structures and facades
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in ASTA Power Projects
